Private comprehensive health insurance

HanseMerkur Krankenversicherung offers two private health insurance plans (called tariffs in Germany) for employees: The BusinessFit tariff covers all medical and dental treatment, hospital accommodation, and preventive checkups. Those who take part in regular health checks and score within the normal range receive a discount. The ProFit tariff fully covers the costs of naturopath and naturopathic remedies, and provides a higher subsidy for vision aids. Self-employed persons can also choose between the BusinessFit and ProFit plans at HanseMerkur Krankenversicherung.

Health insurance for civil servants

For civil servants, HanseMerkur Krankenversicherung offers a tariff and various additional benefits. The Be Fit tariff is specially designed for civil servant trainees up to 39 years of age. Those who become civil servants can switch directly from the Be Fit tariff to the civil servant tariff.

Private health insurance for students and children

Students can take out insurance with HanseMerkur Krankenversicherung with the Start Fit tariff at discounted rates and, if required, supplement the insurance cover with additional benefits such as treatment by a chief physician and accommodation in one- or two-bed rooms during hospital stays. For children, HanseMerkur Krankenversicherung offers a special Kids Fit tariff.

Supplementary insurances

In addition to classic supplementary insurances such as hospital and dental insurance, HanseMerkur Krankenversicherung also offers more specialized supplemental services such as eyeglass and cancer insurance. Cancer insurance consists of four modules: cancer prevention, inpatient protection, outpatient protection, and a protective diagnosis allowance.
