Private health insurance

SDK's private health insurance covers inpatient, outpatient and dental care and is divided into 15 modules that can be combined as needed. Insured persons can generally upgrade to a higher plan without a prior health check. Private health insurance can be supplemented with various additional benefits such as daily sickness allowance, daily hospital allowance, supplementary long-term care insurance or a premium reduction plan.

Civil servant health insurance plans

Benefits may include naturopathic treatment, psychotherapeutic treatment, visual aids and dentures under health insurance plans for civil servants. Premium refunds are paid beginning with the first year of membership if no benefits are provided. Special terms and conditions apply to candidates for civil service. They pay a lower premium.

Supplementary insurance

In the area of supplementary insurance, Süddeutsche Krankenversicherung offers supplementary dental insurance, travel health insurance, supplementary nursing care insurance, supplementary hospital insurance, supplementary outpatient insurance and daily sickness allowance insurance. There is a special supplementary insurance plan for children, which is available in three variants and includes orthodontic services.

SDK Company Health Insurance

Companies can take out a company health insurance plan with SDK for their employees. The benefits include accommodation in a hospital in a single or double room, reimbursement of the cost of dental prostheses and visual aids, the services of a non-medical practitioner, and preventive medical check-ups. The company health management system of the Süddeutsche Krankenversicherung can be used to promote health-conscious behavior in the company.
